Originally from North Texas, Slagle is a graduate of Texas Tech University. His career began in downtown Chicago, where he was a top-producing broker, focused on grocery-anchored shopping centers in the inner city and first ring suburbs. Zach then transitioned to leading the acquisition team where he procured, underwrote, and negotiated on opportunities across Chicagoland.
In 2022, Slagle relocated to Madison, Wisconsin to leverage his expertise in the most promising market in the Midwest. He landed at a leading regional acquisitions firm where he spearheaded development projects, sourced acquisitions, oversaw strategic growth initiatives, and advised on the company’s $600 million portfolio.
In 2024, Zach founded Slagle CRE with a mission to create lasting value and shape growth in Madison through commercial real estate. The company achieves this by uncovering underutilized real estate, value-add redevelopments, and furthering strategic expansion of local companies.

Jake relocated from the northside of Chicago to take on the Madison market with SLAGLE CRE. Jake can be heard barking during meetings, snoring during video calls, and being an overall menace to the neighborhood. He likes to spend his free time at Olbrich Park’s biergarten, attending events on the square, and being walked by his sitter along State Street. Prefers in-person meetings over email correspondence.
